- Blurred thoughts rupture the garden of my mind. Weeds of doubt creep through, littered hatred scattered about, a plague on my soul, such a delicate flower could never last. Roots lie uplifted, dried up and cold, the chill of loneliness too much, just too much for my little flower -
I started and finished Stranger Things in one night, and I was desperate for more!
Set in 1983, the disappearance of 12 year old Will Byers begins a large scale investigation in a small Indiana town, however there is more at stake than Wills life, as a strange girl with a special 'gift' is found and more disappearances occur and families are shook to their core.
The plot line was intriguing and different, I was hooked the whole way through, not a boring episode of side plot to be found. However the stand out feature of this series for me were the characters and actors, every character felt true, clearly thanks to excellent casting, and there was a clear connection between all characters, which, being set in a small town, allows for realistic relationships and characters. For me, Eleven, an odd 12 year old girl crucial to the plot, was perfect and outstanding, her character was different and unusual and you couldn't help falling for her and her love of Egg-os, an american waffle thing.
I 100% advise watching this series, it runs for 8 episodes, which is just not enough! A second season has been announced, and all fans are biting their nails in anticipation, and I guarantee that after watching it, you will be too!
